The Brainerd Elks ER Kris Strader, Secretary Bill Satre, Lecturing Knight Jeremy Hoffman and Leading Knight Shelly Satre presented the Brainerd High School Acapella Choir a check for $5,601 at the choir’s Christmas Concert, December 15th.  The check was a combination of the tips that the choir members earned working at the Elks food booth at the Crow Wing County Fair in August, and additional funds donated by the Brainerd Elks Club from fair booth profits. Our annual fair booth is made possible by 100% volunteers. Our members cook and make the food and our BHS Music partners serve the guests each year at the fair. The BHS Choir and Band trade off each year assisting with the food booth to raise money for their spring trip. The partnership is essential to making it possible for us to continue running our booth each year and we are thrilled to be able to allow these students to earn the money for their travel experience.
